Vintage Rockwell, Black/Amethyst Glass, Sterling Overlay, Platter, Art Nouveau

Stunning large platter featuring sterling silver overlay on black/amethyst colored glass. The elegant intricate pattern is done in the Art Nouveau style. The small flowers on branches resemble cherry blossoms. Pattern extends all around the platters wide border.

The center of the platter is design free. The edges of the platter, including the handles, are rimmed in silver. Made by Rockwell in the first quarter of the 20th century, partial retained incised back stamp. 15.25 inches wide by 10.25 inches deep. Condition; No chips, cracks or repairs. 3 small areas of wear to silver on one end of platter. Marked in the photo with blue arrows.
