Bohemian Art Nouveau Blue Iridescent Glass Vase by Vaclav Stepanek, Signed
Vaclav Stepanek trained in glass making with many masters of Czech glass, worked at Crystallex for many years, and has worked in tandem with many artists including Hlava, Lipensky, and Chihuly. He started Glass Studio Stepanek in 1990 with his sons, and is based in Novy Bor. He is considered one of the Czech Republic's contemporary glass masters. This "cannonball" vase, from the artist's Art Nouveau range, features blue iridized and black glass drawn in a feather art style. The vase stands approximately 5 inches tall and has a diameter of approximately 4.5 inches.
