This exceptionally large and impressive piece has been hand blown in a beautiful satin custard glass which glows with the most exquisite radiance under UV light indicating the presence of uranium.
The perfectly proportioned form is spectacularly decorated with a stylish hand painted enamel floral design which beautifully embodies all of the elegance and grace of the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period. This masterfully hand crafted piece is an exceptional example of quality antique Art Nouveau glass and is an absolute delight to behold. A smaller single vibrant red bloom to the reverse beautifully unifies the design. Raised detailing adds a fabulous textural element to the pattern while glistening gold accents create a sense of opulence. Dark olive green bands stylishly trim the foot and top rim. SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 225mms tall and measures 145mms in diameter at its widest. CONDITION: This stunning vase is presented in excellent antique condition with no big chips, cracks or repairs. There are a few absolutely minuscule fleabite sized nibbles to the inner top rim and minor wear to the hand painted floral design noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been lovingly cared for and presents spectacularly. MARKS: This superb example is beautifully signed to the base with the hand brushed initials "PK" for Poschinger Krystallie.
