ANTIQUE HARRACH RAINBOW VASE WITH GOLD ENAMEL FLOWERS. This Victorian-era vase is a yellow-brown color with vertical bands of white, red, and blue spatter. The front of the vase is decorated with gold enamel flowers. The body is pinched and the neck is crimped.The vase stands about 6 1/4" tall and the body is approximately 4" wide just below the top shoulder. The Harrach Glass Factory was founded in 1712 in the mountains of Northern Bohemia which is now the Czech Republic.
It is one of the oldest artisan glass makers in the world. Harrach has an incredible history of greatness in glass making, especially during the 19th century when it had strong links with other famous Bohemian makers such as Moser and Lobmeyr. Harrach glass has many styles and forms, but enameling seems to be one of been their fortes.As a result of their massive and varied output, they have a strong following and Harrach glass remains collectible and sought after. Condition of this Harrach vase is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. The gold decoration is also in great shape with a few spots of minor wear.
