Unique And Possibly Quite Rare, This Hand Made Porcelain Vase Features Intricate Pure Silver Overlay Outlining Hand Painted Flowers On A Light Blue Background. As You Take In The Photos, I'm Sure You Will Agree That It Gives This Piece A Stained Glass, Almost Tiffany-Lke Appearance. I Have Spent Hours Trying To Research The "GS" or "SG" Maker's Mark But Have Come Up Empty. There Is Also An Impressed Number "687" On The Bottom.

Any Information You May Have On The Maker Would Be Greatly Appreciated - Unsolved Mysteries Irk Me. Because It Is All Hand Written In German (Except For The "Pure Silver"), And Because Of The Art Nouveau Style Of This Piece, I Have To Assume It Was Made Prior To WWI. It Stands 6.75 Inches Tall With A Wide 4.5 Inch Mouth. I Deliberately Did Not Polish The Silver Before Photographing This Piece.

The Dark Patina Helps Authenticate It's Age. Everywhere You See Dark Lines It Is Pure Silver Work. I Specialize In Antiques Of All Types.
